WLAN Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test plans for WLAN (Wi-Fi) features and protocols
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and interoperability testing
  • Validate Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
  • Conduct testing for throughput, latency, roaming, and stability
  • Set up and maintain testbeds (routers, access points, client devices)
  • Analyze logs and debug issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, and sniffer tools
  • Develop and execute Python-based automation scripts for test validation
  • Automate test cases for WLAN features and performance testing

Requirements:

  • 3–10 years of experience in WLAN/Wi-Fi testing
  • Strong understanding of Wi-Fi protocols (802.11 standards)
  • Strong proficiency in Python scripting (automation, log parsing, testing)
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Wireshark, IxChariot, Spirent
  • Experience in log analysis and debugging network issues
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching)
